It was actually cooler outside than in the house, so we headed back outside after snack to paint a stump. Not just any stump, but the stump that is the stool for the trampoline. It was divided into quarters so that each girl (1 missing today) got to paint their own section. I was hesitant to let them paint all at once but they managed to keep their hands to their own area and there was not one argument. It turned out nicely:

Week 2, Day 2
What a hot day for a scavenger hunt in the woods! Long pants and socks were a necessity this morning, as we scavenged the woods for different types of leaves. After the first 5 minutes, we already had an oak, birch, elm, ash, and maple. The girls then gave up and their new mission was to find blueberries. We headed towards the blueberry patch and picked approximately 20 teeny tiny blueberries. "I'm soooooo hungry though!" said L, so we decided to head back for snack.

Other than lunch and a bit of playtime in the basement, we were outside all day. The girls rediscovered bikes, chalk, moon sand, and the giant tree swing next door. I didn't get a turn, but I hope to get one soon! This is HC swinging:
