Week 2, Day 5

This morning's art project took a very long time, but had great results. The best part was, the girls did most of the work themselves! They picked out the colours of crayons that they wanted, and I helped them to glue them to a small canvas. They then held the hair dryer a few inches in front of the crayons to melt them all over the canvas.

Et Voila! Completed artwork, ready to be framed and hung!

After some time outside before the rain came, we settled down for the afternoon with movie and popcorn. Once the movie was done, we completed some projects from earlier this week. The first was making a collage of leaves, which the girls had collected from the woods and identified with a handy chart (shown in the centre of the collage).

As promised earlier in the week, here is the completed "door" for the entrance to the dramatic play area. It just needs a handle.
